Key-Drop is known for generous bonuses, seasonal rewards and giveaways, so let’s check them all.
The free gold section will greet you as soon as you create the account. Gold is one of the Key-Drop currencies used to open different crates.
You have a few available options to spend gold, yet the interesting part is getting it for free.
To get it, all you have to do is open the “FREE GOLD” link on the top right corner in the Key-Drop's site navigation and finish some of the tasks.
There are over 20 free gold tasks at this moment, and you can accomplish any in just a few moments. Those tasks include joining a Discord server, following Key-Drop on TikTok and Instagram, subscribing to the YouTube channel, and so on.

Golden code giveaways
The golden promo code (not to be mistaken with previously mentioned gold) is a special promo code given by the Key-Drop on their social media.
We’ve seen the most golden code giveaways on their Twitter and Facebook account, so make sure to check that out regularly.
Once you have the code, you can redeem it just as you would redeem a regular promo code. Simply click on the arrow next to your profile picture on the top right corner of the page to open the drop-down menu. Click on the “promotional code” text and enter the code in the pop-up box.
Games and services selection
Key-Drop offers three main skin-related CS:GO games. Those are:
- Case openings
- Skin trading
Now let’s check them a bit more in detail.
Case Openings (Home page)
The main distinctive feature that separates Key-Drop from competitors is the great selection of different CS:GO cases to open. Also, their categorization and case themes make everything more enjoyable.
Our favorite cases are inspired by popular movie culture, and those include The Expendables, Joker, Pika Pika and Mafia crates. Anyways, there is quite a good choice, and we advise you to take a look yourself.
Skin trading (Skin changer)
Skin changer is Key-Drop’s branded name for skin trading, and you can find it on the right side of the site. After you open this section, you’ll see a standard two-sided trading screen.
As you make a detailed inspection of the offered skins, you’ll see that trading isn’t a focus for Key-Drop. They have only around 200 items, which is greatly below average for a site like this one.
Also, the only option is trading with bots, so you won’t be able to exchange skins with other players.
Don’t like the skin you’ve just got? No problem, trade it for a twice as valuable item - but only if you’re lucky enough.
CSGO upgrade, or Upgrader - how Key-Drop named it, is a standard CS:GO gambling game where you can exchange a particular skin for another, usually a better one. However, as you pick an item that’s significantly more valuable than yours, the chances of getting it are decreasing, and vice versa. If you select an item that’s about twice as expensive as yours, you’ll approximately have 50% chance to earn it.
Unlike Skin Changer, the Upgrader offers a pretty decent selection of skins so you won’t feel limited with the possible choices.
Payment method variety
Thanks to a few major global payment services, at Key-Drop you will be able to deposit money using any banking method that can come to your mind.
The main methods include:
- G2A Pay (200+ payment methods)
- Skinpay (CS:GO skins)
- Gift cards (PaySafeCard, PayPal, Kinguin)
- Paymentwall (100+ payment methods)
- Coinbase (all major cryptocurrencies)
When it comes to withdrawal, the only option will be through CS:GO skins. Then, once you withdraw skins, you can sell them on other third-party marketplaces such as DMarket.
Popularity and reputation
Key-Drop seems to be among the popular kids from the block. They are well-known, with great website traffic and thousands of active users at any time.
However, just like with any other CSGO gambling-related site, there are both sides to the story.
During our research, we stumbled upon a few red flags that made us question their reputation.
The biggest warning signal comes from Trustpilot. They seem to have a flawless score of 5.0/5.0 with around 20,000 reviews. Yet just above the rating, there is a bold message from the site, colored in red, saying that they’ve detected many fake reviews.
The site was (or maybe still is) offering something in return for a positive rating. We didn’t find that proof yet, however, it’s obvious that the reviews are unrealistic.
If we compare it with CSGORoll or CSGOEmpire, as two of the most popular CS:GO gambling/trading sites, we see a major gap. Both of those have around 2,000 - 3,000, and their score isn’t anywhere near perfect.
Also, in the Free Coins section at Key-Drop, you could earn gold if you leave a positive review on their Facebook page. Perhaps they’ve been doing the same thing with Trustpilot as well.
So the questions are:
- Are they masking the negative overall rating?
- Or are they trying to increase popularity and counter those few bad reviews?
Perhaps we’ll never know that for sure.
Customer support at Keydrop is efficient and reasonably fast, keeping in mind that there’s no live chat 24/7 support available.
You can reach out through email or social media and they’ll respond in a timely manner. We addressed them with a few queries, and they were friendly, helpful and informative.
License and security
Key-Drop doesn’t have an official gambling license. They are bypassing this rule as players cannot withdraw real money, so the activities aren’t classified as gambling.
This isn’t anything strange in the CS:GO gambling world, as several sites are using this same method.
On the other hand, Key-Drop implemented a provability fair algorithm, so you can see what’s happening in the background. Also, provability fair algorithms are supposed to prohibit an operator from setting the exact outcome. Math is based on a random numbers generator, and the process is end-to-end encrypted.
How to sign-up?
To fully interact with Key-Drop, you’ll have to sign in with your Steam account.
- Open Key-Drop by following this link
- Click on the sign-in button in the top right corner
- Connect your Steam account
- Enter the promo code “CSGOSB”
- You’re (almost) ready
Now once you have the account, choose a deposit method from the list, make the first deposit and you’re prepared for case openings, trading and upgrades.
Key-Drop is one of the most popular case opening sites. Besides cases, they offer a decent CS:GO upgrade and below-average skin trading. Even besides that drawback, offered crates, giveaways and bonuses are good enough so you could solely focus on those.
Reputation-wise, Key-Drop is doing a pretty good job, as they have a huge player base and a lot of site traffic.
However, it’s widely known that Key-Drop is forcing players into creating fake ratings, and we’re not particularly happy about this information. This is certainly a red flag, yet we’re still not sure how much of a big deal it is.
Anyways, if you’re not particularly attracted to Key-Drop and their appealing crates, maybe it’s a smart choice to look for a more honest and transparent site such as CSGO500 or CSGOEmpire.
How do CS:GO drops work?
CS:GO crate drops are like scaled dice rolls. Each skin from the crate has a number range, and when you throw the dice, the skin associated with the lucky number is yours.
How to get CS:GO keys for free?
Case keys at Key-Drop are not free, yet you can earn coins for free, and then buy keys using that money. Open the “Free Gold” section on the site and find your way from there.
